Community and social responsibility are very important to me. The following is a short summery and list of some involvements I have been a part of, including academic, athletic and community achievements.

• Pick 6 Progressive Solutions Consulting Services, Developed community meeting initiatives, policy development and alternatives. Assisted (HRM) community based organizations.

• Halifax Citadel High School Advisory Council, Elected to the council as a community representative in 2008, voted chair of council 2009. Responsible for the oversight and monitoring of school policy in regulation with Halifax Regional School Board.  (HRM) Vice-Principle Hiring committee

• Halifax Citadel High School Positional Football Coach, Assistant Defensive Linebacker Coach 2008-2010.

• Provincial Education Student Council (PESEC). African Nova Scotia appointment. Worked with students across the province to help develop, and advise policy to enrich the post secondary institutions. Major works were achieved within the Anti-Bullying Campaign 2003

• 1st Annual Buddy Day Award. This award is given to a student who demonstrates outstanding accomplishment academically, athletically, and within the community. I was the first ever award winner of this prestigious honor in 2003 through a nomination.

•  Embracing Diversity Cape Cod Employment Equity Development Program. Worked with government employers, and participated in workshop initiatives that promoted diversity, and understanding, of ethnic cultural differences.

• Service Canada Community Project, Beechville Summer Day Camp Coordinator. Delivered affordable recreational services to the community, grew organization from 7 participants to 50+ within a 3 week time span.

•  Mount Allison Football Team Captain. Chosen independently by teammates as one of three, team captains, for the 2006 CIS season. Finished the season as the second leading tackler in the AUS with 43 and led my varsity team in the same category.

• East West Bowl CIS Football 2006 All-Star. Selected by national committee of 27 CIS coaches as one of the top 100 players in the country, 2007 draft eligible to participate in the annual prospect game.

• United Way, Feed Nova Scotia, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Canadian Liver Foundation. Have worked with and volunteered for these organizations as well as assisted in a fundraising capacity.

•  Halifax Regional Municipal Council 2008.Candidate for Halifax Downtown District 12,  attained 23% of the popular vote.
