“We connect the world’s professionals to make them more productive and successful.”
– Gary Fearnall, Director of Global Marketing Solutions Linkedin.
The image below is a look at the very impressive kit that Linkedin prepared for a special marketing presentation at the Canadian National Arts Center in Ottawa yesterday. I was impressed with not only how professional and informative the event was but also with the quality of interaction and engagement. The Linkedin platform is a mature tool that can help solve many of the current issues and challenges relating to productivity and meaningful relationship building in business.
The most important take away from this presentation was the fundamentals of what this platform is all about.
Identify opportunities – Find work, present and be found.
Analytics and Insights – Improve and be great at what you do, now.
User Experience – Work wherever members work.
At Linkedin your not just a user, you are a member and with that comes responsbilities, however amazing opportunities that other social networks will never be able to offer you. Sometimes “free services” like Facebook end up costing you more with lost wasted “unproductive” time.
As I get ready to dive into the book “The Start-up of You” by Linkedin Co-Founder Reid Hoffman I will apply the lessons that Linkedin has shared into my day to day life with technology. Hopefully it will help make my daily work efforts even more prouctive and impactful then ever before. A big thank you to everyone that made this event possible from Linkedin.
